BREAKING: Hawks, Pelicans Trade Sends Dejounte Murray to New Orleans
We've heard all spring and summer that the Atlanta Hawks intended to break up their Trae Young-Dejounte Murray backcourt, and today that was realized, as the Hawks have completed a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans to send Murray to The Big Easy.

In return, the Hawks get Larry Nance Jr., Dyson Daniels, a 2025 first-round pick (via the LA Lakers), a 2027 first-round pick (the least favorable of Bucks-Pels).
It's possible that this could be the first shoe to drop for the Pelicans, who have been hotly rumored to have Brandon Ingram on the trade block, as they aren't inclined to give him the max contract extension that he's looking for. Both sides would like to stay together, but they obviously have differing opinions on what it's worth to them to do so.
More to come...
