Breaking: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Makes Stunning Free Agent Decision

The first big free agent move has come down, as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has decided to leave the Denver Nuggets, accepting a three-year, $66 million offer from the upstart Orlando Magic.

KCP holds a player option on the third year of the deal.

Caldwell-Pope becomes the second huge role player from the Nuggets to depart in two years, following Bruce Brown's departure after their championship year in 2023.

It's a huge move for the Orlando Magic as they build toward contender status, snagging a two-time champion.

The 11-year veteran provides stout defense on the perimeter, while he routinely averages in double-digit points while shooting at 40% or better from three-point range. Starting 76 games for the Nuggets this past season, he registered 10.1 points, 2.4 assists and a 40.6% mark from long range.
