Klay Thompson Sends Huge Indication That He's Done in Golden State
Extension talks between four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors have not gone well throughout the past season, and clearly now into the offseason. The 11-year veteran sharpshooter has abruptly removed all recent content and references to the Warriors from his Instagram account.
Klay Thompson has unfollowed the Warriors on Instagram and deleted all Warriors-related content from his page 😳

Steph Curry's Splash Brother has unfollowed the Dubs on IG as well. He deleted all team-affiliated posts dating back to April 2022, which includes the '22 championship.
The 34-year-old has just wrapped up his five-year, $190 million deal that he signed with Golden State in 2019. He sat out the first two full seasons of that contract with devastating knee and Achilles injuries. But he came back in 2021-22 to eclipse the 20 point per game mark for the 6th time, and help lead the team on its fourth title run in his time there.
The Warriors are struggling with trying to get under the luxury tax, and Thompson seems like he will be the biggest casualty.
There will be a few teams lining up once he hits unrestricted free agency on June 30th.
Thompson averaged a ten-year low 17.9 points this past season, and was even relegated to come off the bench for a while. He shot 38.7% from beyond the arc. Not too shabby, but still his second lowest mark in his career. He did shoot 92.7% from the free throw line which led the NBA.
