NBA Free Agency Rumors: 5 Teams In Pursuit of Buddy Hield
He's a proven gunner from the outside, so it stands to reason that Buddy Hield should be in demand this summer from plenty of teams looking for that last impactful complementary piece to put them in serious title contention.
But the 31-year-old's days of earning $20 million plus would appear to be over, as indicated by basketball insider Evan Sidery. He suggests that something close to the veteran's minimum could win Hield's signature on a contract this summer—with a contender.
Buddy Hield is expected to receive strong interest from contenders in free agency.

Hield’s elite three-point shooting fits a lot of places, and the price could be as low as the veteran’s minimum.

Phoenix Suns
The Suns are in desperate need of making some cost-conscious, yet impactful free agent signings this offseason to bolster the roster beyond the 'Big 3' of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. With those three, and a championship coach in the mix in Mike Budenholzer, perhaps they can convince Hield to come on board, even though they can really only afford the veteran's minimum.
Milwaukee Bucks
Budenholzer's old team (and the one he won that title with) needs to add another sniper from the outside to take pressure off Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Denver Nuggets
They'll be a championship contender again next year, but they also won't have much room under the second tax apron to make any big-money adds.
Minnesota Timberwolves
They showed themselves to be a potential title contender, going all the way to the Conference Finals, with the brilliance of Anthony Edwards and the elite defense of Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid. A three-point sniper like Hield would be a nice add for the team.
Orlando Magic
Not truly a title contender at this point just yet, but they do desperately need some elite outside shooting like the kind that Hield could provide, in order to take the pressure off of their strong frontcourt duo of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.
