Trae Young Lists 3 "Appealing" Trade Destinations

The Atlanta Hawks will be breaking up their backcourt this summer, with three-time All-Star Trae Young a very likely candidate to be dealt. He's apparently warming up to that fact, as we have a report from Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports that Young has even noted three "appealing trade destinations."

"The (LA) Lakers, (New Orleans) Pelicans and (San Antonio) Spurs remain three destinations that would be appealing to Young, league sources told Yahoo Sports."

Young would be the dynamic star point guard the Lakers have needed to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis up front, while we can only imagine the alley-oops and other connections he and Zion Williamson would come up with on the Pelicans.

The Spurs, of course, have Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama, and a reliable point guard to get the big fella the ball would be a big boost to San Antonio. We even heard back in May that Wemby would be "intrigued" by teaming up with Trae.

However, according to other reports we got last month, the Spurs organization might not share that same enthusiasm for the diminutive ball-dominant guard. Shortly after that news about Wemby's interest, came a report that the Spurs weren't so keen on the idea of acquiring Young.
