Woj Report: Klay Thompson & Warriors Cut Ties—Now In Talks with 4 Teams

After 13 seasons as a Splash Brother next to Steph Curry, five-time All-Star and four-time champion Klay Thompson is officially leaving the Golden State Warriors. They will now investigate sign-and-trade options, as Thompson will have talks with four teams.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dallas Mavericks, LA Lakers, LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers will all be competing for Thompson's services.

Thompson averaged 17.9 points while shooting 38.7% from long range this past season, but found himself coming off the bench on occasion for the first time in his career. That, plus the fact he felt "disrespected" by the offers that were on the table from the Warriors, led Klay to pull out of any further talks with Golden State.

All four of the teams mentioned are looking for some more shooting and floor spacing, and it's hard to find someone better than one of the game's all-time great shooters.
