Warriors Trade Offer for Laurie Markkanen Revealed
Laurie Markkanen's name has remained on the rumor mill for months now, but are the Utah Jazz ready to let go of their leading scorer and breakout player from two years back? According to a report, the Golden State Warriors "have been the most engaged team" for Markkanen, and their latest offer has been revealed, which includes some young talent... but not nearly enough for Jazz CEO Danny Ainge.
The Golden State Warriors are offering Moses Moody, multiple first-round picks, multiple pick swaps and multiple second-round picks to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Lauri Lauri Markkanen, per @ShamsCharania

Shams Caharnia has written in The Athletics that the Warriors have offered Moses Moody, multiple first-round picks, multiple pick swaps and multiple second-round picks in exchange for Markkanen, but Ainge wants more, specifically, other young Warriors talent Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski and picks, in addition to Moody.
Charania calls that sort of ask "a non-starter thus far for Golden State."
Markkanen is entering the final year of his contract, and thus being extension-eligible this summer, any acquiring team would need to know that he would sign on long-term with them, considering the mammoth price tag the Jazz have placed on him.
The 26-year-old broke out big-time in the 2022-23 season upon his arrival in Salt Lake in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Markkanen went from a 14-point-per-game guy to 25.6 PPG, an All-Star berth and the NBA's Most Improved Player Award.
This past season he continued to lead the Jazz, averaging 23.2 points with 8.2 boards and 2.0 assists, while filling it up from deep at 40%.
