3-Team Proposed Trade Gets Brandon Ingram & Cam Johnson Moved

Two of the most frequently heard names on the rumor mill this summer have been Brandon Ingram and Cam Johnson. Many accounts have each of their teams looking to trade the young veteran stars.

Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report has a proposed three-team deal that would get both of them on the move, and satisfy the needs of all three clubs.

    Utah Jazz Receive:

    • Brandon Ingram (from Pelicans)
    • Day'Ron Sharpe (from Nets)

    New Orleans Pelicans Receive:

    • Cameron Johnson (via Nets)
    • Walker Kessler (via Jazz)
    • $13.5 million trade exception (Ingram)

      Brooklyn Nets Receive:

      • John Collins (via Jazz)
      • Brice Sensabaugh (via Jazz)
      • 2025 first-rounder, higher from the Cleveland Cavaliers or Minnesota Timberwolves (via Jazz)
For the Jazz, who signed their star forward Laurie Markkanen to a huge extension this summer, they would add another dynamic offensive star to play alongside him.

The Pelicans, who didn't want to give Ingram the max extension he was looking for, get cost certainty in a decent forward in Johnson to replace him. He has three seasons to run on a 4-year deal with $90 million guaranteed.
They also get a terrific young center to add to their frontcourt in Walker Kessler, filling a void in the middle and providing a huge improvement in defense from the departed Jonas Valanciunas.

The Nets get to continue their tear-down, and get a first-round pick for moving on from Johnson. They're probably fine to give up Sharpe, as they just re-signed Nic Claxton to a big extension to take care of the center spot into the future.

This is all just speculation for now, but it could be something that tweaks these teams' interests.
