Khris Middleton Lands With Warriors in 3-Team Trade Proposal
The Golden State Warriors have been looking to land another All-Star this offseason, and after failing to get anything done on trades with either Paul George (who they were all-in on) or Laurie Markkanen (who they didn't really go all-in on, according to reports), they might turn their attention elsewhere in the trade market.
With the Warriors also wanting to depose of Andrew Wiggins' contract, could they figure out a way to accomplish all their goals?
Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report has come up with a wild three-team trade proposal that helps the Dubs, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Portland Trail Blazers:
- F Khris Middleton
Golden State Warriors Receive:
Milwaukee Bucks Receive:
- F Jerami Grant
Portland Trail Blazers Receive:
- SG Moses Moody, SF Andrew Wiggins
The Warriors pick up the versatile former All-Star Middleton, who, when healthy, would be a nice third star for the team, with championship pedigree. Problem is, he's not been healthy much the last couple of seasons, and even had two ankle surgeries this summer.
But to get off of Wiggins' $84 million remaining on his deal would please Warriors' executives.
The Bucks bring in Damian Lillard's former teammate in Grant in this proposal. He would add another big scorer to the team's front line and take a lot of pressure off Dame and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Blazers? They get off the massive Grant contract, and save $48 million even in taking on Wiggins' deal, plus they get a young piece in Moody.
