Kyle Kuzma Would Head to Miami Heat in Proposed 3-Team Blockbuster Trade
If the answers to those questions are all 'yes,' then we've got a proposed 3-team blockbuster trade for you. It's proposed by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, and it would land star forward Kyle Kuzma in South Beach and a couple of nice rotation pieces in Orlando.
Miami Heat Receive:
- F Kyle Kuzma
Orlando Magic Receive:
- PG Malcolm Brogdon
- G/F Josh Richardson
- 2026 second-round pick (via Los Angeles Lakers)
Washington Wizards Receive:
- G Cole Anthony
- F Jett Howard
- F Nikola Jović,
- F Duncan Robinson
- 2029 first-round pick (top-5 protected, via Miami Heat*)
The Heat are looking for another star to pair up with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, and Kuzma has risen to that status over the past couple of seasons. He's averaged 21.7 points over that span, with 4.0 assists and almost seven boards a game.
The Magic have been desperate for a reliable playmaker in the backcourt, and floor spacers to help take the pressure off forwards Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. They brought in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to address the floor-spacing part, but Brogdon offers a steady veteran hand at the point, and he can hit it from deep with the best of them as well, averaging well over 42% from three over the past two seasons.
Richardson is another potential asset on the perimeter with his 3-and-D game.
As for the Wizards, it's a big haul to help super-charge their rebuild, with intriguing prospects Jett Howard and Nikola Jovic coming in to get the playing time they need, along with a future first-round pick. Cole Anthony is a young player with potential in the backcourt, and Duncan Robinson can help spread the floor for their promising young pieces.
