NBA Trade Rumors: Raptors Bruce Brown Linked to Recent NBA Champs

The Toronto Raptors acquired Bruce Brown as one of the pieces in the Pascal Siakam trade with the Indiana Pacers last season. But they never really intended for him to be a part of their rebuilding team. The goal was to flip Brown in another deal for a nice asset. That never happened at the trade deadline. And it didn't happen again during the first serious trading period of the offseason at the NBA Draft.

So now the Raptors are still trying to deal Brown — a player who has proven himself to be a key piece on a championship team, as he was with the Denver Nuggets in 2023 — to a contender that sees him that same way.

Enter — according to basketball insider Brett Siegel of Clutch Points — the Golden State Warriors.
Bruce Brown is another player the Warriors have expressed interest in dating back to last season.
The 2022 NBA champions are still hoping to get back to that level with Steph Curry still playing at a superstar level, and Draymond Green still around as another four-time champion as well. Could Brown be a missing piece in their rotation?

As Siegel notes, "Brown can bring a lot of secondary value to many teams around the league right now."

The insider, however, also indicates that the Dubs additionally have interest in trading for Cameron Johnson from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Warriors have some decisions to make before they go into an important season for the franchise. We'll see if a notable trade is in the cards.
