Report: Anthony Edwards Could Be Close To Asking For Trade To Big-Name Eastern Team
This would come as a shocking bit of news to Minnesota Timberwolves fans: After leading the team to uncharted territory in the last 20 years (the Conference Finals), it sounds like superstar Anthony Edwards *could* be set to ask for a trade to the Miami Heat.
Miami radio host Dan Le Batard came out with this "speculative information" he's just heard, revolving around the disputed Timberwolves' ownership situation, and the resulting impact it could have on the team's superstar.

I have partial information on something that will be explosive if it happens... (It's) speculative right now, but it is something to keep an eye on... This is what you need to watch out for:
If Glen Taylor keeps the team, what's going to happen after that is, they are going to lose their team president, Tim Connelly. He's gonna leave because he signed a long-term deal with the (Alex Rodriguez) team... Everybody thought A-Rod was going to be the owner of that team!
And if Tim Connelly leaves, the next step on that is Anthony Edwards possibly wanting to leave with him and requesting a trade to Miami.
Glen Taylor, who has been one of the most vilified owners in the sport, is embroiled in an ownership dispute with a group headed by Alex Rodriguez. That dispute is going to arbitration in November. A-Rod and Marc Lore owned 36% of the team, and were set to make their third and final installment in March, to give them controlling ownership, but Taylor shockingly said they missed the deadline and that the team was no longer for sale.
Now an arbitrator will have to decide what happens, and from there, Ant will have his own big decision to make.
