Veteran Guard Patty Mills Finds Himself A New NBA Home
Patty Mills was a fixture in the San Antonio Spurs backcourt for 10 years, and has a championship ring to show for it. But he's had a hard time holding down a job the past couple of seasons, and now has hooked up with his third team in the last year, signing on with the Utah Jazz.

It's a one-year, $3.3 million deal for the 36-year-old who will be entering his 16th NBA season.
With the Jazz, he'll get to reunite with coach Will Hardy, who was an assistant coach under the Spurs' Gregg Popovich in Mills' time in San Antonio.
In 10 seasons with Hardy and the Spurs, Mills shot 39% from three, while averaging 9.4 points and 2.4 assists in 21 minutes per game as a key reserve.
Last season was a struggle, as he played just 32 games split between the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat, getting on the floor just 13 minutes a night and shooting just 27.6% from long range, while averaging only four points.
But Mills showed he's still got something in the tank this summer, averaging 16.5 points per game for Australia during the 2024 Paris Olympics, helping the team reach the quarterfinals, where he hit a buzzer-beater at the end of regulation, before the Aussies eventually fell to Nikola Jokic and Serbia in overtime.
It was all enough to catch the eye of the Jazz, who will bring in the respected veteran on a guaranteed deal.
