Terrible News For NBA Fans As Boban Marjanovic Says Goodbye

After a nine-season love affair with NBA fans, gentle giant Boban Marjanovic is saying goodbye to North America, as he's signed a deal with Turkish team Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague.

The 36-year-old has signed a one-year contract that does include an exit clause allowing both sides to opt out of the deal until January.

The 7'4" Serbian last played in the EuroLeague back in 2014-15, for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. He posted numbers of 16.6 points and 10.7 rebounds while being named the EuroLeague MVP.

Since then, he's been an NBA darling, not playing a very large role with any of the six teams he's been with, but flashing his huge smile and just bringing joy and fun to the court.

In his 9-year NBA run, he's played for the San Antonio SpursDetroit PistonsLos Angeles ClippersPhiladelphia 76ersDallas Mavericks, and Houston Rockets. He's averaged 5.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.3 blocks per game in 331 games, averaging 8.7 minutes per appearance.
