Report: Josh Giddey Looking For Huge Deal From Bulls
One of the more notable trades of the summer was the Chicago Bulls acquiring talented young guard Josh Giddey from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for defensive dog Alex Caruso.
But Giddey, even though he has yet to play a regular season game for the Bulls, and has yet to establish himself as a certifiable star in the league, is already thinking big money on a contract extension from Chicago.
Josh Giddey is reportedly seeking $30 million per year on his next deal, per @JakeLFischer

NBA Insider Jake Fischer says Giddey is seeking a contract that would pay him $30 million a year. The Bulls, however, "appear more keen on evaluating Giddey through this first season in Chicago before committing that type of money to the Australian playmaker".
It seems, per Fischer, that the Toronto Raptors' five-year, $175 million extension handed to their point guard of the future, Immanuel Quickley, has set some sort of benchmark for young point guard types.
Giddey becomes a restricted free agent after this season, in which he'll make $8.3 million in the final year of his rookie deal.
He was the 6th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, and has averaged 13.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game over the course of his first three seasons in the league, though his came in below all of those numbers last year with OKC.
