Trail Blazers Lose 2nd Key Rotation Player in 2 Days
It's been a rough couple of days for the Portland Trail Blazers' rotation. After losing the oft-injured Robert Williams III on Friday, they've now learned that they'll be without exciting youngster Shaedon Sharpe for four-to-six weeks.
Fresh off losing Robert Williams III, Portland today announced that Shaedon Sharpe is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after an MRI confirmed a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder.

Sharpe has suffered a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder, as confirmed by an MRI this week.
It's been a tough year health-wise for the 21-year-old, who missed 50 games last season, largely due to abdominal surgery he underwent in January. The timing of the new shoulder injury is unfortunate, as he had finally recovered from the abdominal issue.
In 32 games he did manage to participate in last season, the former No. 7 overall pick (2022 NBA Draft) showed immense promise, upping his scoring to 15.9 points per game (up from 9.9 in his rookie year), with 5.0 rebounds (up from 3.0 the previous season) and 2.9 assists (an increase from 1.2), playing 33 minutes a night, mostly as a starter.
Sharpe will now miss the first few weeks of the 2024-25 season.
