Insider: Golden State Warriors In Line To Make "Big Trade"
There's a possibility that two very prominent rumors that have been making the rounds this season could coalesce into one huge blockbuster deal.
Rumor 1: Giannis Antetokounmpo could ask out of Milwaukee if the Bucks continue to struggle.
Rumor 2: The Golden State Warriors have been trying hard to land another superstar to pair with Steph Curry and give them another shot at a championship.
Bleacher Report insider Jake Fischer has linked the two sides together, noting that Curry and Giannis share the same player agency. He calls this an "important detail in all of this," and points out that there are a number of situations on other teams around the league where players of the same agency have come together.
Additionally, top ESPN NBA Insider Brian Windhorst said on Thursday of the Warriors, "This is a team that's got an itchy trigger finger trying to make a big deal." He calls them the "biggest candidate" in the NBA "to make a big trade." He cited the Dubs' runs at Paul George and Lauri Markkanen this past offseason, and even a flirtation with LeBron James.
The Warriors are 7-1 thus far and looking like they could indeed be a contender, while the Bucks wallow around the bottom of the East at 1-6.
We'll be keeping our eye on this situation as the season unfolds.
