More Injury Troubles for Zion Williamson — Suprised?
In one of the least surprising developments of the young NBA season, New Orleans Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson will be out of the lineup indefinitely, per Shams Charania.

Zion has suffered a left hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks, says Charania.
It's the same hamstring Williamson strained against the LA Lakers during the Play-In game last spring. That injury kept him out for the team’s entire first-round playoff series sweep suffered at the hands of the OKC Thunder. That came after Zion's first 70-game season.
But the former No. 1 overall pick has missed 216 games in his career, over 54% of the Pelicans' schedule in his 5+ seasons.
He's averaged 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists through six games this season.
The list of Pelicans injury troubles extends far beyond Williamson, however, as they shockingly have six players out of the lineup right now, as noted by Kurt Helin:
• Zion Williamson (hamstring strain)
• Dejounte Murray (fractured left hand)
• CJ McCollum (right adductor strain)
• Trey Murphy III (hamstring strain, may return Monday)
• Herbert Jones (right shoulder strain)
• Jordan Hawkins (lower back strain)
The Pels are 3-7 and sit 14th in the Western Conference.
