NBA Trade Rumors: Top 3 Centers Most Likely To Be Dealt by Deadline

It's a tough position to find the right fit, and there are plenty of teams looking for a center around the NBA, whether as a starter or for the bench unit.

Fortunately, there will be several big men in the middle available for trade by the February deadline. Brett Siegel of Clutch Points helps us decipher who are "the three predominant names front office personnel are labeling as the most likely big men around the league to be on the move before the trade deadline":

Jonas Valanciunas, Washington Wizards

This one has been out there for a while, even though he's only 13 games into a three-year, $30 million contract signed this past summer with the Wiz. With the team in rebuild mode, the 32-year-old Lithuanian has no future in D.C. and it's thought that they really only signed him in order to have a nice trade piece for teams that realize they're desperate for a legitimate center as the seasons goes along. He can traded as of Dec. 15th.

Kelly Olynyk, Toronto Raptors

The Canadian pivot finally got to play for his hometown team after he was traded to Toronto in a deadline deal with the Utah Jazz last season. But his time could be relatively short-lived there, as there will be a number of teams that could be looking for a floor-spreading, passing big man like Olynyk. He's shot 39% from three-point land the past two seasons, though he hasn't played yet this year due to a back strain. He's expected to be ready by early December, well in advance of the February deadline.

Robert Williams III, Portland Trail Blazers

The oft-injured rim protector played only six games last season, and just recently came back from another injury this campaign, though he's already had a couple of impact games in the handful that he's played. If teams are willing to take the risk that the 27-year-old will finally be able to stay healthy (he's only played more than 52 games once in his 6+ year career), he could be a nice add. He should have a healthy market, if he himself is... healthy.

Honorable mentions for centers likely to hear their names crop up on the rumor mill include Isaiah Stewart, Larry Nance Jr., and Nikola Vucevic.
