Jimmy Butler Names 3 Teams He'd Go To in Trade
For the first time, it's been revealed that the Miami Heat are indeed "open" to a Jimmy Butler trade, per a report from insider Shams Charania.
The Heat are open to listening to offers for Jimmy Butler, league sources told ESPN, and the six-time All-Star is believed to prefer a win-now contender in any trade. https://t.co/ifbfJY7ZPw

“The Heat are open to listening to offers for Butler and making a deal if the proposal is right, league sources told ESPN,” wrote Charania.
The six-time All-Star and two-time NBA Finalist has even named three teams he would accept a trade to:
- Golden State Warriors
- Houston Rockets
- Dallas Mavericks
The Warriors and Mavericks are considered championship contenders this season, while Houston is Butler's hometown, and the team is not too far away from being a contender.
“Within league circles, there’s been quiet discourse about whether the Houston Rockets or Dallas Mavericks will eventually land Butler, a Texas native, should he and Miami decide to part ways,” wrote HoopsHype insider Michael Scotto.
As for Golden State, we've known for some time that the Warriors have been desperate to add another co-star for Curry to take another run at a championship before his window closes. Butler's name has been mentioned, and now we know that the feeling is mutual.
The Warriors were also tied to another superstar over the last 24 hours, so they will be a team to keep an eye on as we trend toward February's trade deadline.
Teams have also been informed, writes Charania, that Butler intends to decline his $52 million player option after the season and become a free agent.
Butler has averaged 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season while shooting a career-best 55.7%. The Heat, however, are just 12-10, and he wants to go to a title contender.
