Massive Price for Cam Johnson Revealed
The Brooklyn Nets are in sell mode, as if you didn't know. Their trade this past weekend of Dorian Finney-Smith to the LA Lakers was the latest move, but not the last.
The big name still on their trade block is forward Cam Johnson. It's been revealed that they are seeking "multiple" first-round picks for him, per insider Marc Stein.

That sounds like a hefty ask for Johnson, even though he is having a career year, averaging 19 points per game, 3.1 assists and shooting a sizzling 42.9% from beyond the arc. He would be a massive add for any contender.
Johnson is 28, and is signed with a reasonable salary of a $22 million AAV over the following two seasons after this one.
But the sooner the Nets can depose of him, the sooner they can get back to doing what this season should be all about for them: getting into as strong a lottery position as they can to try to landing that coveted No. 1 pick (presumed to be consensus top prospect Cooper Flagg).
Brooklyn is currently four games better than the worst (best) spot at the bottom of the overall standings, so lowering their trade expectations might be the wise move at this point.
