NBA Trade Rumors: 3 Utah Jazz Listed as Likely Trade Candidates

It's been a dreadful season thus far for the Utah Jazz at 4-15 going into Sunday's action. But one player who has fit in well with the team is power forward John Collins.

However, as noted by NBA insider Marc Stein, Collins will find himself in a familiar spot as this season continues to develop: as a trade candidate. He spent the last two or three years of his time with the Atlanta Hawks on the trade block, and it sounds like he's right back on the rumor mill again with the rebuilding Jazz.

He leads off our list of top 3 Jazz trade candidates, as stated by Sam Amico of Hoops Wire.

John Collins

Here we go again. The 27-year-old is off to a fine start to the season for the Jazz, though he doesn't always find himself in the starting lineup. He's averaging 17.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and a career-high 2.5 assists while playing 28.7 minutes a night.

But as his name is not Laurie Markkanen, he is not untouchable on this Jazz team, and expect to hear his name surfacing once again, where it always does, on the rumor mill.

Jordan Clarkson

Once thought of as a piece of the core in Utah, the former Sixth Man of the Year has seen his minutes drop a bit this season, down to a five-year low of 26:00, while his point production off the bench has hit the same kind of low, though at a still very serviceable 15 points per game clip. There are plenty of contending teams that could use that kind of scoring off the bench. the 32-year-old only has one more season after this one left on his contract, at a reasonable $14M.

Collin Sexton

The soon-to-be 26-year-old point guard also has just one year remaining on his deal, at $19M, and despite a pretty decent performance so far this season, he, too, will be expendable for CEO Danny Ainge as he looks to wheel & deal and build around Markkanen. He's averaging 17 points with 3.1 assists while shooting a career-best 43.8% from distance this season.
