Report: Warriors Gaining a "Willingness" To Trade 3 Key Young Players

The Golden State Warriors will be one of the most interesting teams to watch on the trade market this season. They're desperate to add another big star to the team with Steph Curry, and contrary to their previous stubbornness against moving any of three key young pieces, that stance now seems to be changing.

Brett Siegel of Clutch Points reports that the Dubs have been "ramping up" their activity on the trade market, and "there is certainly more of a willingness to discuss their young core of Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski in trade discussions than ever before, sources said, opening several possibilities for how the Warriors could attack the trade deadline."

Despite the addition of guard Dennis Schroder in a trade earlier this month with the Brooklyn Nets, the Warriors have been struggling of late, losers of 8 of their last 9 games. After a strong start to the season, which saw them at the top of the Western Conference as recently as three weeks ago at 13-4, they're now just 14-12 and in a three-way tie for 8th, 9th, and 10th in the West going into Friday night's action.

In fact, many league personnel believe that "Kuminga's time is limited" in Golden State, reports Siegel.

He also notes that Schroder could be flipped in another deal before the deadline.

The Warriors have been one of the teams targeting Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.
