3 Prefered Teams on Butler's Trade List All Saying 'NO, THANKS'

The Jimmy Butler drama continues to play out in Miami, while he sits out a seven-game suspension while the Heat try to trade him. But as we're finding out, this won't be easy.

Butler had some definite preferred teams on his list of landing spots, but it seems that none of them are busting down Pat Riley's door to make a deal.

With Butler indicating that he will be opting out of his $52M contract next season to enter free agency, according to insider Evan Sidery, none of the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, or Houston Rockets are showing any interest in trading for Butler at this time.

Only the dreadful Phoenix Suns are interested. As Sidery says, they are "eagerly awaiting the chance to bring aboard Butler and reward him a two-year, $112.6 million extension."

But the one salary they can send back that would work in the trade machine is that of Bradley Beal — and the Heat have already put the kibosh on that, having zero interest in bringing in the former Washington Wizard and his albatross of a contract.

The Suns have sent Beal to the bench this week, as his presence on the floor has the team playing at near league-worst efficiency.

But as for Butler, he may need to open his horizons a bit on where he'd accept a trade to. He's already said 'NO' to the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks. But with his preferred landing spots not playing ball, the options are dwindling for both Butler and the Heat.
