NBA Trade Rumors: 3 Leading Trade Destinations for Jimmy Butler

Now that the relationship between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat is fractured beyond repair ("he wants to play anywhere but Miami" says insider Shams Charania), and Butler has been suspended by the team, it's time to look at Butler's most likely trade destinations.

And any discussion on this front has to start in the Bay Area:

Golden State Warriors

After a fast start to the season, the Warriors have cooled off considerably, and are now just one game over .500. They've spent the last few months looking for another superstar to extend Steph Curry's title contention window. Butler is high on their list. Jonathan Kuminga would likely have to be on the table to get this potential deal over the finish line.

Houston Rockets

This is another one of the teams thought to be on Butler's list of preferred destinations, and that works out well since the Rockets would be dying to get him. They are ready to kick their contender status into high gear, and landing Butler could do it. In addition to some draft assets, which Houston does own, would they put the likes of Dillon Brooks and/or Jabari Smith Jr. (who broke his hand on Friday) into a package to offer the Heat?

Denver Nuggets

Another team longing for another big star to push them back into true title contention. Adding Butler to the duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray could be the sauce that turns the Nuggets into a simmering championship contender once again. Michael Porter Jr. would likely have to be sacrificed in such a deal.
