NBA's Top 10 Trade Candidates As Deadline Approaches
With all the talk about Jimmy Butler and Brandon Ingram, there are a number of other prime trade targets around the NBA who need equal time in the rumor mill.
We now present the top 10 trade candidates as the NBA trade deadline fast approaches on February 6th.
1. Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat
The Heat "aren't feeling pressure to trade Butler asap" is a common refrain that's coming out of Miami these days, but we don't believe it. With just over three weeks until the deadline, you can be sure that Pat Riley wants to get a deal done before the chaos tanks his team's season.
2. Cameron Johnson, Brooklyn Nets
Dennis Schroder and Dorian Finney-Smith have been dealt already, but Johnson is the Nets' biggest trade chip. We've heard that there are two frontrunners to land him.
3. Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans
Ingram's name has been all over the trade chatter this season. He wants a max extension but the Pels don't want to give it to him. They have set their asking price in a trade, however.
4. De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are on a six-game win streak after beating the Boston Celtics Friday night, all since firing head coach Mike Brown. But make no mistake, this season has not gone as expected for a team that was planning to be a serious playoff contender once again, as they were two seasons ago. That's why they went out and signed DeMar DeRozan in free agency. If things continue trending in the right direction, then all's good. But if they don't, star point guard Fox may be wanting out with another year to go on his contract.
5. Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors
The Dubs really, really don't want to trade Kuminga, but if they have hopes of making the impact addition they're hoping for, they just might have to include him.
6. Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
7. Kyle Kuzma, Washington Wizards
8. Jonas Valanciunas, Washington Wizards
9. Jerami Grant, Portland Trail Blazers
10. Collin Sexton, Utah Jazz
