Warriors Trade Rumors: 4 Big Men on Golden State’s Radar

The Golden State Warriors will be one of the more active teams at next month's trade deadline, it seems certain. One of the areas they need to beef up, literally, is some beef in the frontcourt. We're hearing today from insider Michael Scotto that the Dubs have four big men on their radar:

Nikola Vucevic

The Chicago Bulls veteran center is having a career shooting season, hitting on 55.6% from the field and 42.2% from beyond the arc. He's also averaging 20 and 10 (points and rebounds). His trade value is at its highest, and the Bulls would be wise to pull the trigger. He still has one year remaining on his contract after this season, at $21.48 million. He should command at least a first-round pick.

Jonas Valanciunas

The Washington Wizards center has been one of the most talked about names on the trade market, as teams like the LA Lakers and others have had interest. He brings bulk to the 'five', and can rebound (8 boards per game this year in just 19 minutes). It sounds like he won't cost more than two second-round picks. He'll earn $10M a year for each of the following two seasons.

Robert Williams

A rim-protecting presence, the main problem for Time Lord is his inability to stay on the floor. He's constantly injured, and has played just 12 games this season. But in that minimum action, he has averaged 1.7 blocks in 16.5 minutes per game. He has another year to run on his deal, at $13.29M.

John Collins

The only non-center on this list, Collins is having a nice season in Utah, averaging just about 18 points per game in 30 minutes a night. He's shooting a robust 43.8% from distance. He would add nice size and floor spacing to the Warriors frontcourt. He, too, has spent plenty of time on the injured list this season, playing only 27 games. He has a $26.58 million player option for next season, however, which could give the Warriors pause.
