Wild Lakers/Warriors Proposed Trade Would Send Anthony Davis to Golden State

The LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors are two of the most talked-about teams as we chug towards the NBA trade deadline, just two weeks away. The Dubs are desperate for some big-time help in the frontcourt, while the Lakers need a number of things, both for now and in the future.

Leave it to controversial NBA analyst Bill Simmons to go ahead and propose a hypothetical trade, then, that does nothing but anger each teams' fanbase. The following wild 5-player trade would ship Anthony Davis to Golden State, and a slew of players and draft assets to LA.

For the Warriors, it would mean sacrificing the future to give it one more big run for a championship for Steph Curry. Jonathan Kuminga is a young player on the rise, and one that they have consistently refused to include in trades.

The Lakers would leave LeBron James to his own devices as the lone superstar on the team, but would also get a complete makeover, both for the present, and the future. In addition to Kuminga, they get two first-round picks coming soon, 2025 and 2027.

Could they still compete this year with LeBron surrounded by Draymond Green, Dennis Schroder, Kuminga and the rest of the Lakers team? That's another question.

Again, this isn't being met with much enthusiasm by either Lakers OR Warriors fans, some calling it a "lose-lose" deal for both teams, while others call it the "worst trade" idea ever.

Yes, that is what Bill Simmons does, he just makes things up and waits for the hate to roll in. Let's remember: he's a Celtics fan, so destroying the Lakers and Warriors at the same time would make all the sense in the world for him.
