BREAKING: Brandon Ingram Agrees To Multi-Year Extension With Raptors
Stunning news out of Toronto, as the Raptors have signed their newly-acquired star forward Brandon Ingram to a three-year, $120 million extension.
New Toronto Raptors star Brandon Ingram has agreed to a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the franchise, including a player option in 2027-28, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, agents Shy Saee and Mike George told me and @BobbyMarks42. pic.twitter.com/rN9D2qZW1c

He'll receive $40M a year on the deal, which has a player option for the 2027-28 season. The agreement fends off Ingram's pending free agency, and seems to be a team-friendly deal, as Ingram had wanted out of New Orleans because he had wanted a max five-year contract worth over $260 million.
The Pelicans were forced to deal the former All-Star before losing him for nothing this summer, and the Raptors swooped in at the trade deadline.
Ingram will now join the young, growing Toronto core with Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, and RJ Barrett. Brighter days ahead for the Raptors, who are mired in a 16-37 season, which is 5th from the bottom in the NBA standings, giving them at least some shot at trying to win the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes at this year's Draft Lottery.
Ingram has been out of action for two months due to a severely sprained ankle. He has battled injury problems throughout his career, playing in as many as 64 games only once in the last eight seasons. But he's also averaged over 22 points and five assists per game over the last six years, when he has played, while shooting the 3-ball at a solid clip of about 37% over that time.
