BREAKING: Heat Trade Jimmy Butler In Latest Blockbuster

After weeks of trying, the Miami Heat have finally been able to complete a trade for disgruntled (and suspended) star forward Jimmy Butler, sending him to team up with Steph Curry on the Golden State Warriors as part of a four-team blockbuster.

In return, the Warriors send out Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson and a protected first-round pick, while two more teams are also involved: The Warriors' Lindy Waters III and Heat's Josh Richardson are headed to the Detroit Pistons, and Schroeder is re-routed to the Utah Jazz. Anderson was supposed to be flipped to the Toronto Raptors, but that part has fallen through for now.

But wait, there's more:

The Phoenix Suns were Butler's preferred destination, and despite him telling the Warriors earlier this week that he wouldn't sign an extension if traded to them, he has indeed agreed to a new two-year, $121 million extension with the Warriors, while declining his $52M player option for next year.

The Dubs have been desperately trying to lay their hands on another star player to team up with Curry to give him another run at a championship while his window is still open.

Mission accomplished.
