Breaking: Kevin Durant Makes Feelings Known About Potential Warriors Reunion
As the rumors have gained steam over the last two days that the Golden State Warriors were "zeroing in" a trade to bring back Kevin Durant, Shams Charania is now reporting that the Phoenix Suns star has "no desire" to return to The Bay.

"He does not want to go back," says Charania, while outlining that the Warriors have been "serious" about their pursuit of KD.
"Do they continue this pursuit of Durant?" asks the insider, now that they know he's not interested in going back to the team with which he won two NBA championships and two Finals MVPs. It sounds like it would be an awkward situation. Durant surprised many when he voluntarily chose to leave Golden State in the summer of 2019 after three seasons there, to sign as a free agent with the Brooklyn Nets.
Marc Spears of ESPN adds "I was told that a couple of days ago when Kevin heard about this Warriors rumbling, he was like, 'What? No. I don't wanna go back there'... The Warriors (potential) deal is dead. They're moving on."
Given this new info, "Do they (Warriors) move on to a guy like Jimmy Butler?" is Shams's next question.
The Suns have been trying desperately to add Butler from the Miami Heat as they are his preferred destination, but without being able to absolve themselves of Bradley Beal's $50M salary, there doesn't seem to be an avenue to make it work. They will continue to try, even getting creative looking at three, four, or five-team deals.
Both the Suns and the Warriors are having disappointing seasons, with identical 25-24 marks, just clinging to the last two Play-In spots in the Western Conference.
