Breaking: Anthony Davis To Miss Significant Time With Latest Injury
Who could have seen this coming?
After the earth-shaking trade heard 'round the world, the Dallas Mavericks tried to justify their trade of superstar Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers for Anthony Davis by intimating that Luka had a problem with conditioning, and they were concerned about his ability to play to his full potential in the future.
Did someone forget to do their homework, however, on Anthony Davis? After the big man went down after just 31 minutes of action in a Maverick uniform on Saturday, it was a reminder that AD simply can't stay healthy himself. Davis has played more than 56 games in a season just twice in the last seven years due to an assortment of lower-body injuries.
Now we're learning that his first Dallas injury issue could keep him out for an extended period.

Noted sports doctor Jeff Stotts tells us that this must be a "moderate strain" to keep him out for so long, and he also notes that Davis has a history of low-grade adductor strains throughout his career. He adds that an ongoing abdominal strain could also be connected.
AD will now miss the highly-anticipated matchup when the Mavericks take on Luka and the Lakers on Feb. 25. Hopefully he'll be able to play in the last meeting of the season between the two teams on April 9th in Dallas.
Davis is averaging 25.7 points and 12 rebounds this season, and his massive presence on the defensive end in particular was being counted on for the Mavs to justify trading one of the faces of the NBA in Doncic.
