Next 5 NBA Superstars Who Could Be Traded, After Doncic Deal

It was the most stealth, shocking, unexplainable trade in NBA history. The Luka Doncic/Anthony Davis deal is still only a few hours old, and the shockwaves continue rolling through the entire sports world.

Even Kevin Durant said, after hearing about it, “If (Luka) can get traded, then anybody’s up, man.”

So let us take time now to speculate on who the next five superstars are that could be traded:

Jimmy Butler

Yes, this one is obvious. Butler is done as a Miami Heat, and the entire NBA knows it. It's just a matter of when a deal goes down. He's currently serving his third suspension by the team in the past month or so. It feels like the Phoenix Suns will be his ultimate destination.

De'Aaron Fox

Okay, yes, another obvious one. It was revealed this past week that the Kings have their superstar point guard on the trade block. His future with the franchise after the final year of his contract next season was highly in doubt, so they're looking to capitalize now. The San Antonio Spurs are his preferred landing spot.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Greek Freak signed a three-year max extension at the beginning of the season with the Milwaukee Bucks, but rumors already began circulating earlier this year when the team got off to an awful start that he could be wanting out. The Bucks have recovered, and are now 5th in the East, but whether they can be a true contender this season is highly in doubt, and the potential for a Giannis trade at some point can't be ignored.

Anthony Edwards

He's signed for four more years with an AAV of $49M (it'll be $55M by 2028-29), but after making it all the way to the Conference Finals last season, this year has been a big let-down, with the Timberwolves in 7th in the West. There's only so long a superstar player can be kept happy in small-town Minneapolis, especially if the team is not winning.

Kevin Durant

Durant has to be on this list because... Well, he's Kevin Durant. He has a career full of leaving teams behind, so there's no reason, based on past history, to not believe it'll happen again in Phoenix. He thought he was going to a championship contender when he coerced his way out of Brooklyn to get there, but the Suns are far from that.

The other obvious name, James Harden, who has forced more than his fair share of trades, doesn't make this list because he no longer qualifies as a superstar.
