Report: Kevin Durant Blocked THIS Wild Suns/Warriors Trade

The Golden State Warriors clearly wanted Kevin Durant back in The Bay as we headed towards this week's trade deadline. But we know without a doubt that KD did NOT want a reunion with Draymond Green and the Warriors.

Insider Shams Charania is reporting that the Suns had a three-team deal in place with the Dubs and the Heat that would have secured Phoenix a massive haul of Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga, 1st-round picks, 2nd-round picks, and pick swaps. But KD blocked it, saying he didn't want to leave the Valley of the Sun.

Other teams that made pitches to land Durant included the Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"Kevin Durant never wanted this to be a topic this season, he has never requested a trade out of Phoenix. So the fact that his name was involved in any conversation, that is something obviously both sides are going to have to work through in the second half of this season," concluded Charania.

Could make for an interesting offseason as well, as it's highly likely that we could be hearing Durant rumors all over again. He still has one more year left, at $54.7 million on his deal with the Suns.

The Suns are 25-25, just barely clinging to a Play-In spot in the Western Conference.
