Top 3 Favorites To Land Kevin Durant Via Trade This Summer

Kevin Durant was taken by surprise when his name started appearing in trade rumors heading up to the NBA trade deadline last week. It wasn't something he was expecting.

Now we're hearing from ESPN insider Brian Windhorst that we should expect a Durant trade after the season, this summer.

"[Kevin Durant is] probably going to get traded this summer. He knows it, the Suns know it, the rest of the league know it. They're gonna enjoy him while they have him."

And when that sweepstakes begin this offseason, oddsmakers are currently listing these teams as the favorites to land him:

The Houston Rockets are the odds-on favorite, at +350. They have elevated themselves into a legitimate contender in the Western Conference, at 33-20, and straddling the 4th/5th seed.

The team is known to be interested in adding a big star this offseason to supercharge their rise to the top.

The Knicks are the second favorites at +500. They were hoping to woo KD back in the summer of 2019 when he became a free agent, but he joined their crosstown rivals the Brooklyn Nets instead.

It's puzzling to see the Warriors as the third favorite (+850), as Durant said flat-out that he wasn't interested in a reunion with Golden State when a potential trade was on the table at the deadline.
