Draymond Green Publicly Blasts Warriors' Team After Crucial Defeat
Every game is crucial for the Golden State Warriors as they fight to secure at least the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference and dodge the play-in tournament. But their recent 124–115 road loss to the Atlanta Hawks could come back to haunt them as the season winds down.
Draymond Green didn’t hold back when addressing the team’s lackluster performance after the game.
“This was a bad loss—a terrible loss,” the Warriors forward said bluntly. “With just 11 games left and everything on the line, a loss like this shouldn’t happen. We’ve got to be better.”

Green struggled to find his rhythm, shooting just 2-for-7 and finishing with five points in 35 minutes of play as the Warriors took the court without Steph Curry. Atlanta came out firing, building a commanding 40–23 lead by the end of the first quarter, and Steve Kerr’s squad couldn’t recover from the early deficit.
Despite the tough loss, the Warriors still hold onto the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference. However, with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers trailing by just half a game, every remaining matchup becomes a must-win battle to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The stakes are high, and every misstep could cost the Warriors dearly in their playoff push.
