Insider Links Stunning Team To Kevin Durant in Trade
We've heard the news that the Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant are going to be working together on a trade to move the superstar out of the desert this summer.
Teams like the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks have cropped up at various times as potential destinations for KD. But what if you added him to arguably the best team in basketball this season in the Oklahoma City Thunder? Stephen A. Smith thinks that should be OKC's target this summer.
"The Oklahoma City Thunder should go and get Kevin Durant back... if you don't get it done this year, they should go back and get [KD]. They've got so many assets, they have stuff to give away."

"The Oklahoma City Thunder should go and get Kevin Durant back," said Stephen A. on ESPN's Get Up. Durant started his career in OKC, with the young Big 3 that also included James Harden and Russell Westbrook. That trio led them to the Finals back in 2012, but fell to the LeBron James-led Miami Heat.
The Thunder have as good a chance as anybody to win it all this season with the roster they already have in place, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
But if they don't...
"If you don't get it done this year, they should go back and get [KD]. They've got so many assets, they have stuff to give away, they can't possibly use all of them. Phoenix is in desperately need of assets.
"(OKC GM) Sam Presti has had 17 years and has never 'closed' (i.e. won a title)...
"The man is a phenomenal executive. We know this. But I'm sick of it. You gotta close (it)... You gotta win."
The Thunder are currently 49-11 and lead the second-place Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers in the Western Conference by a whopping 10.5 games.
Durant already turned down one reunion this season, blocking a trade to the Warriors at the deadline. How would he feel about this one?
