Phoenix Suns Rumors: Huge Trade Package Revealed in Potential Devin Booker Trade

After yet another Phoenix Suns loss, this time to the Memphis Grizzlies, the team continues to plummet in the Western Conference standings, and the urgency for massive change in the offseason builds.

A Kevin Durant trade is seen as a certainty at this point, after he was blindsided by having his name in trade talks around the deadline. The team and his camp even said they'll work together to get him moved elsewhere. But it's almost certain that a trade of Devin Booker would get the Suns a much better return.

According to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic, a Booker trade would bring back a massive haul of four first-round picks PLUS a rising young star player already in the league, and then he goes on to name a couple of teams that could pull it off.

Rankin names the Houston Rockets and the OKC Thunder as the most realistic teams that have the assets to make such a trade for Booker.

"Maybe sending him to the Houston Rockets for their draft picks that Houston owns and Amen Thompson would put Booker in a better situation," Rankin suggests. We know that the Rockets are gung-ho to land a superstar this summer.

"Oklahoma City has more first-rounders than players over the age of 25, maybe they could make an all-in move for him," Rankin then goes on to suggest. The Thunder are one of the favorites to win it all this year. If they can't get it done, a big splash like a trade for Booker would surely put them over the top.

Booker has spent his entire 10-year career in Phoenix and is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. He's an iconic figure around the Suns. Could they really decide to trade the 28-year-old?

"Booker is at the peak of his prime, but starting a reset around him at this point in his career may be futile," writes Rankin.

"A lot hinges on the 2025 offseason; most notably — the foreseeable future of competitive basketball in Phoenix."
