Breaking: Suns Make First Huge Offseason Move

In a very expensive move, the Phoenix Suns have elected to relieve head coach Mike Budenholzer of his duties after just one season. They must still pay him $10 million for each of the next four years.

The Suns, with their so-called 'Big 3' of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, flopped big-time under the former championship coach, going 36-46 and finishing out of the playoffs and even the Play-In.

For KD, watching a coach get canned isn't a first, by any means.

New York Post columnist Mike Vaccaro calls Durant the new king 'coach killer', with Bud making it five coaches that KD has overseen being given the axe, in the last six years.

As for his teammate Booker, whoever takes over the job will be his eighth different head coach heading into his 11th season in 2025-26.

With $40 million still coming his way, Coach Bud doesn't have to worry about getting in the unemployment line, so whether he tries to land another job remains to be seen.

In 11 seasons as a head coach in the NBA, he has a 520-363 record for a .589 winning percentage. He led the Milwaukee Bucks to the title in 2021.
