Bulls Rumors: Huge Josh Giddey Decision is Nearly Set for Chicago Bulls

It appears that the Chicago Bulls are ready to give the restricted free agent Josh Giddey the bag this offseason worth up to $150M

The Chicago Bulls gave up a much-sought-after piece in Alex Caruso last summer in order to bring in the dynamic playmaker they were looking for in Josh Giddey. And the Australian guard didn't disappoint, setting a number of career highs on his way to an excellent season in Chicago.

And now it appears that the Bulls are ready to give the restricted free agent the bag this offseason.

Josh Giddey seeking $30M/year as an RFA

According to several analysts and insiders, whether they let Giddey find an offer as an RFA and then match it, or just sign him outright to an extension, it appears that they will be paying him big-time. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report and Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times both suggest that the Bulls will give the point guard the $30 million per year that he's seeking, in a 5-year deal for $150 million.

Giddey set career highs this year with 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. After the All-Star break, he really soared, playing like an All-NBA star, averaging 21.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists while shooting 45.7% from three-point land.

"I think he fits really well here," Bulls executive vice president Artūras Karnišovas told reporters after the season, "and I hope to see him here for the next years to come. ... I feel really good about Josh and his future here."

Sounds like a huge deal is about to swirl Giddey's way in the Windy City.
