A Stellar NBA Career
Selected third overall in the 2003 NBA Draft, Anthony played 19 seasons, appearing in 1,260 regular-season games. He averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field, 35.5% from three, and 81.4% from the free-throw line.
He began his career with the Denver Nuggets, spending six-and-a-half seasons there before being traded to the New York Knicks, where he played from 2010 to 2017.
After his prime years with the Nuggets and Knicks, Anthony had stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers before retiring in 2022.
The 6’7” forward was a 10-time All-Star, a six-time All-NBA selection, and the league’s scoring champion in the 2012-13 season. He ranks 12th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and was named to the league’s 75th Anniversary Team.
Personal Success & Future Aspirations
Beyond his NBA success, Anthony also excelled in college and international basketball. In his lone season at Syracuse, he led the Orange to a national championship in 2003. He also won three Olympic gold medals with Team USA (2008, 2012, 2016), earning praise for his adaptability to FIBA-style play.
Since retiring in 2023, Anthony has ventured into media, hosting the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast.
In a recent episode, he expressed interest in becoming an NBA owner, specifically mentioning the Washington Wizards as a team he’d like to be involved with.

“As a former player, I understand athletes, personnel, fatigue, and team-building,” Anthony said. “But I also know my limits—I recognize what I don’t know. You need the right people in key roles—president, GM—to handle basketball decisions, supported by a strong business model.”
