Video: Celtics Set Record For Most NBA 3-pointers In A Season
Boston Celtics elite 3-point shooter Payton Pritchard etched his name in the history books with a clutch three-pointer against the Phoenix Suns, securing the NBA’s new single-season record for threes made by a team.
Pritchard’s milestone shot came in the second quarter against the Suns, sending the TD Garden crowd into a frenzy as the ball dropped through the net.

The Celtics sank their 1,364th three-pointer of the 2024-25 season, surpassing the previous record of 1,363 set by the 2022-23 Golden State Warriors.
Last season, the Celtics came close to breaking the record with 1,351 threes before securing the NBA championship. This year, they’ve taken their long-range dominance even further, averaging a league-leading 17.8 three-pointers per game.
Derrick White leads the team with 249 threes, followed closely by Jayson Tatum at 242, and Pritchard at 240 for the season.

With five regular-season games remaining, Boston’s record-breaking total is only set to climb higher.
