Warriors Plotting Stunning Trade For 6'10 Denver Sharpshooter

The Golden State Warriors’ winning formula is no secret.

Ranking second in three-point attempts per game, the Warriors thrive by capitalizing on transition and half-court opportunities from beyond the arc. Stephen Curry, shooting 39.7% from deep, remains a constant threat, but the absence of his longtime "Splash Brother," Klay Thompson, is still felt.

Buddy Hield was brought in to help fill that role, but his three-point shooting has been inconsistent lately. This summer, Golden State could target a Denver Nuggets star forward who has established himself as one of the league’s premier sharpshooters.

Michael Porter Jr. stands out as one of the NBA’s best third-scoring options. While his shot creation isn’t elite, his off-ball movement and quick, high-release jumper make him a deadly perimeter threat. Porter Jr. excels in catch-and-shoot situations, using crisp footwork and textbook form to maintain efficiency.

At just 26, Porter Jr. is on pace to shoot 39% or better from three for the fifth time in six seasons—proof of his ability to maximize his offensive strengths.

Despite Denver keeping him past the February 6 trade deadline, the Nuggets’ surprising decision to fire head coach Mike Malone before the playoffs could signal upcoming roster changes.

If Porter Jr. becomes available, the Warriors might explore a sign-and-trade deal centered around Jonathan Kuminga, a promising young wing averaging 15.6 points per game.

Will the Nuggets and Warriors strike a deal this offseason? Only time will tell.
